Born and raised in Stratford, just around the corner from the Olympic site in East London, Ohuruogu was seen by many as the ideal face of London 2012 until her one-year ban three years ago from missing three out-of-competition drugs tests.
But she claimed today that she is in talks with them about getting involved.
She said: "I speak to the people at London 2012 and I saw [chairman] Seb Coe quite a few times last year.
"They have a couple of ideas in the pipeline and I'd like to get involved. I drive past the site and it's coming along nicely."
Ohuruogu, who is currently training in South Africa, also said today that she will put the defence of her world title before the pursuit of a $1million (£673,632) Golden League jackpot this summer.
The prize is the bonus on offer to an athlete winning their event in all six of the Golden League meetings this summer, starting in Berlin in June and ending in Brussels in September.
Ohuruogu's event, the 400m, is one of five women's events eligible for the jackpot.
But medals remain more important than money for the Londoner and August's World Championships in Berlin in August are her top priority.
She said: "At the end of the day I train to win championships.
"It's not that I don't care about other races, but that's what my focus is.
"Golden League meetings are an option [four of them take place before Berlin], but it depends on what your goals are.
"When you get to the major championships you could be burnt out.
"It's very important to defend my world title.
"When you step on the line you do what you can to get there first.
"I'll do whatever I can to get there first and that's usually what gets me through.
"It's too early to say how it's going this year.
"This is just the same grind you do every single year, the same aches and pains.
"You just do the work and rest up.
"I want to run a personal best this season [currently 49.61sec] but we will have to change a lot of things.
"It's a work in progress.
"There are always improvements you can make.
"Until the day I retire I always want to get that bit better and stronger."
