Several of the LPGA’s top golfers have made early commitments to play in the 2009 LPGA State Farm Classic, June 1-7 at Panther Creek Country Club in Springfield.

Among the golfers expected to play in this year’s tournament are 2009 Money List leader Angela Stanford, Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, Christina Kim, Laura Diaz, Cristie Kerr, Defending Champion Ji Young Oh and stand-out 2009 Rookies, Vicky Hurst and Stacy Lewis.
“By moving the tournament to early June, we have positioned ourselves to attract the best players on tour,” LPGA State Farm Classic Executive Director Kate Peters said. “We are very excited to see the way the 2009 field is shaping up we’re expecting another fantastic year of world class golf at Panther Creek.”
In addition to a field filled with the world’s top golfers, playing positions in the S1 Women’s ProAm and State Farm Classic Pro-Am hosted by IBM are still available but filling up fast.
