More Gold Medals for China’s Juniors

In yesterday’s semi-final match, the Chinese girls were challenged a lot by Korea. Today in the final, China made short shrift of Japan. Chen Meng began against Kasumi Ishikawa dominating from the beginning.

Cao Lisi’s match against Misaki Morizono was a short game. The Japanese players did not seem to believe in a win. Are they afraid of China? “Maybe a little bit”, Cao Lisi stated the journalists in Madrid.

Wang Daqin then overran Junior Circuit Finals winner Yuko Fujii in three straight games 11-1, 11-3, 12-10. For Japan the worst case has become true.

Possible Comeback in 2016
China's Coach Han Hua is optimistic for the future of the new World champions. “It is very possible,” he said about the chances that these players might play at the 2016 Olympic Games. “Chen Meng and Cao Lisi might participate.”

If the candidate city of Madrid is given the right to host the Games in 2016, Chen Meng and Cao Lisi could again compete for table tennis medals in the Spanish capital.
