BRITAIN'S team pursuit trio of Joanna Rowsell, Lizzie Armitstead and Katie Colclough won their second consecutive World Cup title in Melbourne today.
The youngsters held off the host nation Australia to add to their victory in the opening leg of the World Cup in Manchester earlier this month.
It was all the more remarkable because Armitstead had fallen heavily yesterday in the points race.
It completely a remarkable successful trip for the three-woman team.
On the opening day Rowsell had won the individual pursuit and Armitstead the scratch race.
These two were joined by Colclough to take the team pursuit title as they clocked 3min 29.890sec to beat the Australians by just under a second.
The next round of the track World Cup is in Cali, Columbia, from December 11 – 13.
