October Monthly Words – Se Ri Pak
We are so close to the Lexus Cup 2008 and I could not be happier at how my fellow Asian players are shaping up. To see how far Asian women have come since I started playing professionally in 1996 always amazes me. When I look at the current rankings on Tour I know it is going to be hard to make my two captains’ picks with so many doing well.

It has been great to be a member of Team Asia for the last two years and we always have fun working together and supporting each other throughout the week. To be part of the Lexus Cup is a huge honour for us and I am confident the 11 players that join me this year will be as eager as I am to keep the trophy in our hands.
October Monthly Words – Annika Sorenstam
We are now less than two months away from the 2008 Lexus Cup and I am really looking forward to it. Over the past few weeks, International players have been performing well including Angela Stamford winning with the Bell Micro LPGA Classic. She was part of my team at the 2006 Lexus Cup so it was great to see her take that victory and she may make it into the 2008 team. Juli Inkster and Nicole Castrale are two others who moved up the Official Rolex LPGA Rankings recently and are making their claims to join me in Singapore again.

Having played in my last major at the beginning of August it was quite emotional and I am preparing myself for similar feelings at Lexus Cup as it will be my last LPGA event as a professional and it is an event that is very close to my heart. To go out on a winning note in November would really cap off four fantastic years for me as captain of Team International. I have witnessed the growth of this tournament and Lexus have been a great supporter of me personally and of this event. I hope it goes from strength to strength and I am sure this year’s showdown will build on the great times we have had in past years.
