RESULTS: Women's Royal Glenora Club Squash Open, Edmonton, Canada
Semi-finals: [3] Alana Miller (CAN) bt [1] Latasha Khan (USA) 2-9, 9-7, 4-9, 9-3, 9-3 (63m) [2] Runa Reta (CAN) bt [4] Orla Noom (NED) 9-7, 9-4, 9-4 (48m)
Third seed Miller, the reigning Canadian Nationals champion, beat her higher-ranked opponent 2-9, 9-7, 4-9, 9-3, 9-3 in 63 minutes to notch up her sixth appearance in a WISPA final.
It was appropriate revenge on home soil for the 26-year-old from Winnipeg - who had lost to Khan, the seven-times US champion from Seattle, in their three previous Tour meetings.
The other semi-final went according to the seedings - with Runa Reta, the second seed from Ottawa, beating fourth seed Orla Noom, from the Netherlands, 9-7, 9-4, 9-4 in 48 minutes to reach her fifth final.
The climax will mark Miller and Reta's first meeting on the WISPA Tour, though the pair contested the Canadian Nationals finals in 2004 and 2007 - with Miller, yet to win a Tour trophy, victorious on both occasions.
