Lin Qingyi withdraws from Fisher and Paykel Cup

National Player Lin Qingyi (Micky) has had to withdraw from the Fisher & Paykel Nations Cup after fracturing her ring finger during a training session and is therefore unable to play. This injury will require surgery which she will undergo soon.

Experienced player Zhang Tingjun will replace her in the squad for the Fisher & Paykel Nations Cup which begins on Sunday, 31^st August.

National Coach Lisa Beehag said, “We are very disappointed to lose Micky whose form and leadership has been pivotal in moulding this young squad for the Fisher and Paykel Nations Cup and will be doing everything to aid her recovery from surgery. Her replacement Ting Jun has a lot of international experience and I am sure she will fill Micky’s role superbly and add some Nations Cup experience to our young squad.”
