Laura Lengthorn-Massaro and Alison Waters set up a surprise all-English semi-final in the Women's Harrow Greenwich Open after overcoming higher-seeded opponents in the WISPA World Tour Silver 30 squash event in Greenwich in the US state of Connecticut.

Lengthorn-Massaro, the sixth seed from Preston in Lancashire, claimed one of the biggest scalps of her career when she despatched top seed Natalie Grainger - fighting back from 1/2 down to defeat the world number four, winner of five Tour titles last year, 9-0, 5-9, 4-9, 9-7, 9-0 in exactly one hour.

Londoner Waters also survived a marathon, coming through 7-9, 9-7, 10-8, 4-9, 9-4 in 70 minutes to oust Egypt's third seed Omneya Abdel Kawy from her first international event of the year.

Order was restored in the lower half of the draw where second seed Vanessa Atkinson beat New Zealand's Jaclyn Hawkes to set up a semi-final clash with another Kiwi, fourth seed Shelley Kitchen who defeated Dutch opponent Annelize Naude 9-5, 9-2, 9-5.

Semi-final line-up:

[6] Laura Lengthorn-Massaro (ENG) v [5] Alison Waters (ENG)

[2] Vanessa Atkinson (NED) v [4] Shelley Kitchen (NZL)
