LAND ROVER G4 GETS MUCKY AT THE DIRTY WEEKEND
Land Rover G4 have exclusively partnered with the Dirty Weekend Multi Sport Festival being organised this summer in the Scottish Borders on 5th and 6th July to offer a superb prize to the top placed MIXED pair in the ACE Race Dirty Weekend adventure race event - a place in the UK recruitment finals for the Land Rover G4 Challenge to be held in autumn 2008.
Alongside the adventure action in the mountains of the Tweed Valley and the action in the Dirty Weekend event village, the Land Rover G4 Challenge recruitment team will be on the scout for big time adventurers. The Land Rover G4 Challenge is a global adventure competition with off road driving at its core. It is the journey of a lifetime, a thrill seeker's dream and a real test of body and mind – and it is run to support the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. The 18-month programme begins with competitor recruitment in each of the 18 participating nations and culminates in a thrilling three-week off-road driving and multi-sport adventure in the wilds of remote Asia. For more information get down (or up) to the Dirty Weekend on 5th/ 6th July near Peebles or see www.landroverg4challenge.com.
The prize is offered to the highest placed mixed team within the Dirty Weekend's new ACE Race Adventure Race. This event has already attracted quite a field on account of the £5000 prize money up for grabs for the top male and female teams to finish, but the G4 prize is aimed at the top co-ed finishers. There are still spaces left at the event so if you fancy a pop at the silverware and your chance to win a place in the UK recruitment finals for the G4 held in the autumn, then get along to www.dirtyweekendadventure.com and check it all out.
The Dirty Weekend is a full compendium of multi-sport designed to appeal to all levels of competitor, from the all-out elite to the all-in rookie. With adventure racing from ACE Races, mountain biking courtesy of the Polaris Challenge and a fresh new 12km trail run called the Dirty Dozen the event is set to pack a serious punch on the adventure scene.
All is based from the event village within the grounds of phenomenal Traquair House, the oldest inhabited house in Scotland where Bonnie Prince Charlie himself took refuge before the rebellion of '45. This swashbuckling spirit lives on within the magnificent glens and mountains of the Tweed valley, where event organisers Detail Events have liberated the very finest of what the area has to offer via special permissions and detailed course planning.
Join in this 5th/ 6th July. Free camping for all is offered together with significant event village amenities, including on-site Ellis Brigham gear store, beer tent, live music and mountain bike trials riding demos. Bring the family too for a superb action-packed adventure weekend.
