Dear Ladies Spirit Tour members, sponsors, and supporters:
We hope that you had very Happy Holidays and would like to wish you a prosperous New Year too! We also want to thank each and every one of you for your generous support and promotion of the Ladies Spirit Tour during our 2008 season. Although the economy affected our membership and our prize pay-outs throughout the year, we managed to finish another wonderful season promoting women in billiards.
It is with much regret that we inform you that the Ladies Spirit Tour probably will hold a shorter 2009 season. As you are well aware, the sluggish economy has caused a great depletion in the fun-time funds of players, as well as the discretionary spending of our sponsors and poolroom owners. Many of our players cannot afford to travel the state to attend the various events and our event sponsors are also struggling with the crippling effect of the poor economy.
Our hope is to make this just a short break and to begin again later this year or in the year 2010. We will still hold the Florida State Championship in the fall. We will continue to update the Ladies Spirit Tour website and forward pertinent information to our members via email. We encourage our players to seek other tournament events in order to keep skills sharp and be ready for a fabulous new season when we begin again. Look for exciting changes in the new season! If we can support you in your billiard endeavors with information or promotion, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We also strongly encourage you to support the sponsors who have donated so many products to our Tour over the past several years.
