ELGIN, Ill. – Chicago Bandits pitcher Kristina Thorson will be holding a ‘Pitching and Catching’ clinic on Saturday, March 6 at Play Ball USA in Des Plaines, Ill.
The 2007 National Pro Fastpitch rookie of the year and 2008 World Champion will have two sessions – one or beginning pitchers and one for the more advanced. The beginner session will focus on basic mechanics (increase speed and efficiency), basic warm-up drills (to sharpen mechanics) and the keys to accuracy.
The Beginner Session will run from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with space available for a maximum of 15 pitchers and 10 catchers.
During the advanced session, participants will learn the physics behind movement of pitches, spin drills for getting more movement out of pitches and keys to sharper movement and control.
The Advanced Session will start at 7 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m. with space available for a maximum of 15 pitchers and 10 catchers as well.
