Kreiner threw 64.19 meters/210 feet 7 inches to win the javelin Wednesday at the 2007 "Grande Prêmio Sul-Americano Caixa/Unifor de Atletismo" in Fortaleza, Brazil. Her performance, which betters her previous AR of 62.44m/204-10, stands as the world's leading women's javelin throw mark this year.
The 2003 Pan American Games champion, Kreiner finished third at this event last year with a then American record toss of 61.78m/202-8. Kreiner will look to win her fourth consecutive U.S. title at the 2007 AT&T USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships next month in Indianapolis.
