Chico's Ava Knight won the IBF female flyweight world championship with a second-round knockout victory Saturday in Colima, Mexico.
Knight fought Mucino in Colima, Mexico, on Saturday, and in front of a crowd of about 2,000 fans, mostly favoring Mucino, Knight knocked her out 45 seconds into the second round of the scheduled fight of 10 two-minute rounds, televised in Mexico. Knight is reportedly the first world boxing champion ever to come from Chico.
