Jones secures title at the British Gas Swimming Championships
Natalie Jones (S6) got the gold in the women's 50m Butterfly after a storming swim that saw her just beat her personal best.
She won in 41.89 and 773 points and after commented: "To beat the record is amazing and sets me up for the rest of the week. It will be good to race against Ellie as she's my biggest rival and I'm really looking forward to it.
Susannah Rodgers (S7) won silver in 690 points and a time of 39.01 and Jan Langton (S6) took bronze with a score of 571 and a time of 46.34.
World Champion Rhiannon Henry achieved the European Qualification time with a dominant swim in the final of the women's 100m Butterfly.
Henry led through the start and knew it would be a race against the clock.
She reached for the wall in 1:08.45 and secured 894 points. Stephanie Millward won the silver in 1:13.62 and a points score of 745. Eleni Papadopoulos took bronze with a score of 716 after touching in 1:16.08.
The impressive Ellen Gandy went into the final of the women's 200m Butterfly knowing she already had the selection criteria for Shanghai in the bag after her swim in the 100m Butterfly final.
Gandy looked hungry to book a second spot on the World Championship team as she got onto the blocks and got a good start as soon as the whistle went.
She held a one second lead over Jemma Lowe at the half way point but the Welsh swimmer had a good final 50m to claw back some of the lead.
Gandy took the victory at the wall in 2:06.13 with Lowe taking silver in 2:06.94. Both times are within the qualifying standard for the World Championships.
"I've started to swim my first 100m faster," Gandy said. "I was tired today but I'm glad I could do get a time that fast. I'm going straight back to Australia and then I'll have a break in April after the Australian trials."
Jessica Dickons won the bronze in 2:10.96.
The women's 50m Backstroke saw Commonwealth medallist Georgia Davies power through to win the gold medal.
She was challenged by Emma Saunders but the Welsh record holder was always in control and touched in 28.67. Saunders won silver in 28.80 and Lauren Quigley won bronze in 29.38.
After winning the 200m Individual Medley earlier in the evening James Goddard went onto to secure the fastest time in the men's 200m Backstroke after finishing in 2:00.46.
Amy Smith and Fran Halsall qualified in the two fastest spots for the final of the 100m Freestyle after touching within 0.4 seconds of each other.
The women's 200m Breaststroke saw British 100m Champion Stacey Tadd qualify fastest for the final after touching in 2:30.70.
