Australia has continued its undefeated run at the 2009 Indoor Cricket World Cup with a commanding 70-run win over title threats South Africa on Monday in Brisbane.
Earlier the Australian women, who like the men have claimed the trophy on every occasion since the inception of the competition, also made it three wins from three matches with a 121-run thrashing of Wales.
Captain Jude Coleman was rested from the match but a sparkling all-round performance from Wendy Kemp ensured her absence was irrelevant.
Kemp top-scored with 27 in her side's towering total of 161 and then claimed the tidy figures of 3-4 from her two overs.
Coach Donna Dalby was suitably content with her side's performance.
"It was a good win, and we showed a lot of discipline and patience with the bat, it was quite clinical and that's what I was looking for," Dalby said.
"You can let outside distractions take over in games like this....but I thought our clinical approach was still there in this game."
Dalby's charges will lock horns with South Africa on Tuesday, the side they clashed with in the last two World Cup finals.
