How to Find the Ideal Swimsuit for Your Figure and Body Shape

Even though it's still winter season, spring is fast approaching, and summer will be here before we know it. Of course, most of us are looking forward to the change in seasons, but many of us may be reluctant to show off our bodies come summertime. We're talking about swimsuit season, of course – but nowadays, swimsuit season can be at any time of the year, thanks to indoor pools and hot tubs. If you are hesitant to go swimsuit shopping because of some perceived flaws – and who doesn't? – you must remember that confidence is key, and one of the best things you can do for yourself is remain confident and body-positive! That said, finding the ideal swimsuit for your figure and body shape wouldn't hurt. So how can you do that? Let's find out.

If you have a large bosom/bust

If you have been blessed with a large bosom or bust, you must find a swimsuit that can give you full coverage and the right support. One type of swimsuit that always works for women with large busts is a straight-cut neckline along with wide straps. Also, always go for bikinis with underwires or a thick band across the chest for additional support. Here's a tip: it's not just black that will make your bust look smaller – red is slimming, too. And if you want to look extra cute while walking around the pool area (or around town!), you can pair your swimsuit with Dry Robes – and some of the best Dry Robes in Ireland come in different colors, from red to pink to camo and more. You don't even have to change into dry clothes – just slip on your robe once you get out of the water, and you'll be as snug as a bug.

If you have a small bosom/bust

For those with a bust on the small side, one great option would be to go for a swimsuit with a halter top. Halter tops are excellent at accentuating the bust, and swimsuits with triangle tops are also a great choice. Plus, if you opt for details such as wraparound styles or ruffles, you can also appear like you have a big bust. Go for a padded bra that enhances your cleavage. You should avoid a bikini with a twist-tie front, and don't go for pancake bandeaus, either – they will make your bust look flatter.

If you have large hips

If you have large hips, your hips are wider than your bust and waist. This is often referred to as a 'pear shape,' For this, you should go for a swimsuit with fun and flattering designs and details on top that grab the viewer's attention. Keep the bottom part of your swimsuit simple with a plain color (black will do nicely) and a higher cut. If you would like your bust to look bigger, try wearing a swimsuit with double ruffles or flounces – they look extra adorable, especially when you pair them with a high-waist bottom.

If you want to hide your tummy

For those who would like to draw attention away from their tummy, choose a swimsuit with details such as a colored top, shirred panels, and a high waist with solid or dark colors for the bottom. One fantastic choice to lengthen your body and enhance your bust is to wear a swimsuit with a deep neckline.
