The final warm up events have been done, with Dani, Jo and Sarah all taking part in the Chelford 10 mile event. Although this event isn't a reflection of what is going to face them in the event this weekend, all 3 recorded good times:
Jo 21:45
Sarah 21:56
Dani 22:26
When asked about the event and her goals for it, Sarah Storey simply replied "I want to win". Sarah, who was 2nd in last year's event, will be looking to stop the ever impressive Julia Shaw from taking her 5th straight title in the event.
Jo has been mixing her time trial preparation with some racing trips to Belgium. Last weekend she was in Gistel in Belgium to take part in a 91km race but unfortunately punctured having made a select group of riders that were away from the peleton.
For Dani it will be her first senior National 10, and she's had a solid base of racing in Europe after her transition back to the road. Dani was part of the winning team at the World Track Championships earlier this year in Holland. Dani is very focused on her pursuit goals, but every event is important her and she'll be giving 100% to try to add another title to her growing palmares.
Ella Sadler Andrews will complete the line up for Horizon Fitness at the event. Ella is continuing her return from injury last year, and took part in the Hillingdon GP at the weekend, which produced a dramatic dead-head finish between Horizon Fitness rider Hannah Rich and Lucy Garner.
Following the National 10, the riders begin a block of criterium racing with the Johnson Health Tech Grand Prix Series in the UK. The team will also be at the Smithfield Nocturne in London.
