Filipina Olympian weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz is using her talent to good use and helping her kababayans in need during this trying time.
The Rio 2016 silver medalist conducted an online weightlifting seminar, Sunday morning, and was able to raise enough funds to hand out donations to families in Bulacan and Zamboanga.
"Today we are ready to deliver 30 food packages to 30 families in Bustos River, Bustos, Bulacan, and 30 food packages to 30 families in Pioquinto Drive, Mampang, Zamboanga City," Diaz shared.
Even though she's currently in Malaysia, it's nice to see that Diaz is still able to touch lives and help those in need.
The 29-year old Olympian was on track to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics, but with the current COVID-19 Pandemic ultimately forcing the Olympics to be pushed back to 2021, it looks like Diaz will have to wait a bit longer to qualify.
