Sprinter Katrina Hart was back training at the University of Bath Sports Training Village just four days after winning a Commonwealth Games gold medal in Delhi.
Hart, who is studying Sports Performance at the University of Bath, won England’s first athletics gold medal in Delhi when she sprinted to victory in the T37 100m in a personal best time and British record of 14.36 seconds.
But she was soon back in training in Bath with coach Rob Ellchuk with her sights firmly set on the World Championships in New Zealand in January and then the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
“This was my first gold medal at a major international championships and my first medal at a major championships for five years. It’s been a long time and it was pretty special doing it in Delhi.
“I ran a personal best in India, but I still think I can run faster. My start was pretty bad and that’s where I can improve my time, but I wanted gold and I came back with it, and that’s all that matters,” added the Beijing 2008 Paralympian.
