Hannah Whelan - All-around Senior Gymnastic English Champion!
Hannah Whelan (City of Liverpool) claimed the all-around Senior title at the 2011 English Championships at Fenton Manor, Stock on Trent on Saturday 26 February.
The Silver and the Bronze medals in this first major domestic event for the year went to Jennifer Pinches (City of Liverpool) and Danusia Francis (Heathrow GC), in the women’s competition.
British Gymnastics Women’s Technical Director Adrian Stan said: "This first competition for the year allowed many of the participants to try their new skills and routines. Quite naturally, their fitness is not at the highest level as yet, but we can gradually continue to build on towards the European Championships in April and the Worlds in October. Hannah Whelan demonstrated visible improvement and Jennifer Pinches and Danusia Frances also had some good performances. All in all, an encouraging beginning of the season!"
