The 19-year-old from Knowle, Gloucestershire, is the sole survivor in the championship from Great Britain and Ireland. She earned her place in the final eight with two victories, both by the margin of 2/1.
Hannah, who was the 2008 English champion, first defeated Spain’s Noemi Jiminez and then beat Tara Davies of Wales. Now she faces the Czech player, Klara Spilkova who despatched the number one seed, Lucie Andre of France, to take her place in the quarter final.
England’s other matchplay hope was international Rachel Jennings of Izaak Walton, Staffordshire. She had a 3/2 win in her first round match against Spain’s Camilla Hedberg, but later lost one down to Sweden’s Louise Ridderstrom.
