The Great Britain (GB) Flat water racing team for the European Championships (which is also a second round Olympic qualification event) has been announced, after two gripping weekends of selection events at the Watersports Centre in Nottingham.
The forthcoming European Championships in Milan (15th – 18th May), will provide a second opportunity for GB to secure places in the Beijing Olympic Games. So far GB have qualified a place in the Men’s K1 (both the 500m & 1000m were secured by Tim Brabants in the World Championships last year), but there are a further 8 places to secure in Milan.
