Full British Olympic Squad to compete at British Open
British Judo’s 28-strong Olympic squad, including 2012 European bronze medallist Karina Bryant, will all compete at the British Open, a European Judo Union recognised European Cup event, at K2 Crawley on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 May.
Karina Bryant will be joined in the +78kg category by Sarah Adlington while Sam Lowe battles in the -78kg field.
Sally Conway, Gemma Gibbons and Megan Fletcher all contest the -70kg category with Faith Pitman and 16-year-old Cadets European Champion Katie-Jemima Yeats-Brown seeing action at -63kg.
The returning Gemma Howell, Connie Ramsey and Sarah Clark, who finished in fifth-place at the European Championships, compete at -57kg while Sophie Cox campaigns at -52kg.
Kelly Edwards, Kimberley Renicks and 16-year-old Junior World bronze medallist Hayley Willis contest the -48kg category.
