The USA Volleyball High Performance Championships event, which started July 23 and runs through July 27, has 83 teams playing in six brackets on 15 courts at the Tucson Convention Center.
The USA Junior White team defeated USA Youth Red 25-23, 25-20, 21-25, 25-20 in the Women’s International Division title match for the gold medal. USA Junior White won its semifinal match against USA Junior Red 30-28, 23-25, 25-23, 16-25, 26-24 in a marathon contest. USA Junior Red came back to win the bronze medal by defeating Iowa Region High Performance 25-16, 25-15, 25-14.
Torri Campbell of the USA Junior White Team was selected as the Women’s International Division Most Valuable Player. Other awards went to Jordan Meredith (USA Junior Red) for Best Passer, Katelyn Buyert (Iowa Region) for Best Blocker, Bojana Todorovic (USA Junior White) as Best Server, Sarah Palmer (USA Youth Red) as Best Digger, Jane Croson (USA Youth Red) for Best Attacker and Cheyanne Keanini (USA Junior White) as Best Setter.

Arizona Region High Performance, playing in front of a home crowd, captured the Girls’ International Youth Division by defeating USA Select Red 25-22, 25-18, 25-14 in the gold-medal match. Arizona Region advanced to the title match with a 25-20, 25-21, 25-23 victory over USA Select White in the semifinals. Florida Region High Performance won the bronze medal with a 25-17, 25-18, 20-25, 25-22 victory over USA Select White in the third-place match.
Betsi Metter of the Arizona Region was tabbed as the Most Valuable Player in the Girls’ International Youth Division. Other all-tournament awards went to Michaela Christiansen (Arizona Region) as Best Passer, Alyssa Mason (USA Select White) as Best Blocker, Jordan Burgess (USA Select Red) as Best Server, Katie Mosher (Florida Region) as Best Digger, Mylan Eugene (USA Select Red) as Best Attacker and Haley Lowrance (Arizona Region) as Best Setter.
