Fina Diving World Series, Final standings and prize money distribution

Lausanne, September 19, 2007 – At the end of the three meets of the 1st FINA Diving World Series successfully organised in Sheffield (GBR, September 1-2, 2007), Mexico City (MEX, September 7-8) and Nanjing (CHN, September 15-16) and in applying the FINA Rule GR 9.8.3, (18 points to the 1st, 16 to the 2nd, 14 to the third and 12 to the fourth of each individual event and 27, 24, 21 and 18 respectively of each synchro event) the final standings and the respective prize money of the Series are the following:

1. Jingjing Guo (CHN) 54 pts US$ 10,000
2. Yulia Pakhalina (RUS) 46 pts US$ 8,000
3. Minxia Wu (CHN) 42 pts US$ 6,000

10m platform
1. Ruolin Chen (CHN) 54 pts US$ 10,000
2. Xin Wang (CHN) 48 pts US$ 8,000
3. Paola Espinosa (MEX) 28 pts US$ 6,000

3m springboard synchro
1. Minxia Wu/Jingjing Guo (CHN) 81 pts US$ 10,000
2. Anastasia Pozdnyakova/Yulia Pakhalina (RUS) 69 pts US$ 8,000
3. Briony Cole/Sharleen Stratton (AUS) 60 pts US$ 6,000

10m platform synchro
1. Xin Wang/Ruolin Chen (CHN) 81 pts US$ 10,000
2. Emilie Heymans/Marie Eve Marleau (CAN) 69 pts US$ 8,000
3. Briony Cole/Melissa Wu (AUS) 57 pts US$ 6,000

A total of US$ 480,000 has been be distributed as prize money for the FINA Diving World Series 2007, comprising US$ 96,000 per meet (US$ 5,000 for the 1st, 4,000 for the second and 3,000 for the third of each of the eight events during each meet) and US$ 192,000 for overall places after the conclusion of the three legs of the competition.
