Bristol Academy Women v Chelsea Ladies - 18:30, Stoke Gifford Stadium (BS34 8LP)
Bristol Academy face second-placed Chelsea this evening and are expecting a difficult game but are confident after recording their first league win of the season at the weekend.
The Vixens defeated Doncaster by a single goal on Sunday and boss Mark Sampson is pleased his side have finally got the just rewards their performances have deserved.
"It was nice to pick up the three points on Sunday," he said, "and now four points is more of a fair reflection on our performances so far in the WSL. People must remember we are a new team still developing and learning to play together.
"That is now seven matches and only seven goals conceded, with four of them coming in one game against Birmingham so effectively we have conceded three in six."
This will be Academy's third successive home game and the team who will represent England in next season's Champions League will miss influential midfielder Katie Daley for the game.
Daley strained ankle ligaments on Sunday and will miss two weeks and, without her, Bristol will be up against it versus a good Chelsea side.
Sampson added: "[Daley's absence] will give someone else a chance to step up. We have already shown on numerous occasions this season the depth of quality we have in the squad.
"Chelsea will be another test for us; they have picked up consecutive wins on the road which is difficult in such a tight league so we must be prepared to play a team that are strong away from home.
"They are a well organised, young team with strong athletic qualities so we will need to be prepared for the physical aspect of the match."
Doncaster Rovers Belles v Liverpool - 19:45, Keepmoat Stadium (DN4 5JW)
Doncaster's experienced midfielder Vicky Exley is a doubt for the Belles' clash at home to Liverpool, who are yet to win this season.
Both sides come into the game off the back of defeats; Donny 1-0 away to Bristol Academy and Liverpool 2-1 at home to Chelsea.
The Reds were victorious when the sides met in the FA Cup before the WSL started, running out 3-0 winners, so they will be hoping for a repeat to kick start their campaign.
Everton Ladies v Birmingham City Ladies - 19:45, Arriva Stadium (L23 3AS)
Both Everton and Birmingham are unbeaten in the WSL this season but the sides will have contrasting views on the start to their campaigns.
Birmingham have a 100 per cent record so far and are coming off the back of a 1-0 victory against Arsenal while Everton, one of the pre-season favourites, will be disappointed to have drawn all three of their matches.
Despite the start to the Toffees' season being disappointing, Birmingham manager David Parker believes it will be a tough clash for his side, saying: "It's going to be another big test for us after Arsenal, so everyone is looking forward to this one.
"We've watched their games over, they defend very well and try to dominate possession, so it's going to be a tough test. They're very well disciplined and are drilled inside out. They're going to be very strong all over the pitch."
Blues striker Rachel Williams sits on top of the goalscoring chart with six goals in four games and has been named in the England squad for the forthcoming game against Sweden.
Williams has been aided with three goals from Karen Carney, meaning the pair have contributed nine of Birmingham's 11 goals, but Parker does not mind where the goals come from.
"If that's how they've got to come then that's how they've got to come," he added. "It's all about the group and winning games.
"If Rachel or Karen pops up with another winner on Wednesday night then everyone in the whole club will be delighted with that. If a centre half or midfielder scores, then it will be equally as important."
Lincoln Ladies v Arsenal Ladies - 19:30, Ashby Avenue (LN6 0DY)
After a defeat against Birmingham City at the weekend, Arsenal manager Laura Harvey believes her side will now have to win their remaining games if they are to be the first winners of the FA WSL.
The Gunners won their first two games by a single goal before going down 2-1 to the Blues and Harvey knows they need to improve, starting tonight against Lincoln.
"We have not been brilliant so far this season and now we have to get better," she said. "When we haven't been at our best it has only been mistakes that have cost us but now is the time we need to improve.
"Our aim has got to be to win all our remaining games. We have to do that if we are to have any chance of winning the league at the end of the season."
Meanwhile, Lincoln skipper Megan Harris is hoping to pull of a shock by defeating Arsenal, who defeated the Lady Imps 5-1 the last time the pair met in front of a record crowd of 3,000 back in 2008.
Harris remembers the game well, saying: "It was a special occasion. With 3,000 people watching it was huge for us at the time.
"Three years ago we were in a position where we hoped to pull off a shock. But this time we are expecting to put in a better performance and pick up a positive result.
"We probably got it wrong tactically early on in the semi-final and they scored three early goals. We changed things round at half-time and did a lot better in the second half."
Striker Carla Cantrall is likely to miss the game with a hamstring injury, as will Remi Allen, but Leandra Little is back in the squad.
