VALENCIA (EuroLeague Women) - Ros Casares and Gambrinus Brno each won Game Three deciders on Wednesday evening to advance to the quarter-finals of the EuroLeague Women.
Ros took a 21-6 lead by the end of the first quarter and never looked back, riding a strong defensive effort to a 70-44 win over US Valenciennes in Valencia.
Katie Douglas led the Spanish outfit with 17 points while Delisha Milton-Jones and Elena Tornikidou each came up with three steals.
In Gambrinus' clash against MiZo Pecs, the Czechs took advantage of an injured Dalma Ivanyi and romped to an 84-45 triumph.
Ivanyi failed to score in less than 13 minutes of action.
Zuzana Zirkova had 18 points to lead Gambrinus.
Laszlo Ratgeber, the Pecs coach, said: "It's a pity that Dalma Ivanyi was injured. She tried to play but she was not in good shape.We couldn´t play without her."
Gambrinus forced MiZo into 27 turnovers.
