Englands Handball Squad attend camp before The European Championships
MEMBERS of the Great Britain Women’s Handball Team have travelled from across Europe to attend their latest training camp in Norway this week, as preparations for the European Championship begin. A total of 19 players are at the camp in Asker, where seven of the squad are normally based.
It is the first time the squad has been together since they performed so well at the World Championship qualifying event in Holland in November. As well as general training and team-building, the camp will see the squad prepare for the European Championship qualifiers which take place in September. During the camp the squad will train each day, and play matches against top Norwegian teams.
Their first clash - with Fjellhammer - resulted in a 27-26 victory for GB, where their attacking play looked sharp.
