England defeat India in Dehli

In the Women's Triples battle for the Bronze, England devastated India's hopes of a debut medal in its first foray into the sport.

South Africa defeated Australia in the Women's Triples during a tough afternoon session, and while the Men were keen to double up, Australia was equally determined to avoid a repeat performance.

In the Women's Triples, England and India played off for Bronze in a tight match.

England, being the more seasoned campaigners, took the first set 9-8.

Down 7-4 in the eighth end, 15-year-old Indian Tania Choudhury played a toucher, putting her pink bowl right in front of the jack to make the set-count 7-5.

She did it again in the final set, and India was able to equalise. But th
e effort wasn't enough, and the 7-7 set meant a 1.5-0.5 victory for England. Sian Godrdon, Sandy Hazell and Jamie-lea Winch of England bagged the Bronze.
