Albany, N.Y., August 28, 2009 - The Duramed FUTURES Tour will use social media to keep fans connected to tournament play at the ILOVENY Championship in Albany. Fans from around the world can follow the tournament online, as well as the Top-10 players, who will earn their LPGA cards, on Sunday, September 6.
The Duramed FUTURES Tour will provide live updates from the Capital Hills at Albany golf course from September 4 - 6, with live streaming video updates, Twitter updates and fresh content on the Tour's Facebook fan page. Real-time scoring and all links to the social media can be found on the Tour's website

"We're very excited to be able to bring this fun, live online experience to our fans for the first time," said Nancy Henderson, Chief Operating Officer of the Duramed FUTURES Tour. "We have so many fans who are unable to attend our tournaments, so now they can follow us online and feel as if they are there."
Live streaming video updates will be available beginning at 11 a.m. EDT on Friday, September 4. The LPGA card ceremony will begin immediately following tournament play on Sunday, September 6. Check the Tour's website and social media outlets for scheduling updates.
Currently on top of the money list, following the Turkey Hill Classic, is Mina Harigae of Monterey, Calif. Jean Reynolds of Newnan, Ga., is second, with Misun Cho of Cheongju, South Korea, ranked third. Samantha Richdale of Kelowna, British Columbia, and Whitney Wade of Glasgow, Ky., round out the top five, at fourth and fifth respectfully. Richdale is the Tour's most recent winner, having won her second tournament this season at the Turkey Hill Classic in Harrisburg, Pa. She will be competing in this week's LPGA Safeway Classic as a sponsor exemption.
Rounding out the top 10, are Angela Buzminski of Oshawa, Ontario, Christine Song of Fullerton, Calif., Alison Walshe of Westford, Mass., Dewi Claire Schreefel of Diepenveen, Netherlands, and Pernilla Lindberg of Bollnas, Sweden.
The 2009 Duramed FUTURES Tour season began in March with the Florida's Natural Growers Charity Classic in Winter Haven, Fla. By the end of the season, 17 tournaments, in 14 states, will have been contested, with nearly $1.8 million awarded to Tour professionals.
