Diamonds level series with 51 - 44 win over Silver Ferns
The Australian Diamonds have defeated the New Zealand Silver Ferns in
Adelaide tonight, 51 - 44
The win levels the series at one-all and means that Sunday's game in
Melbourne will decide the winner of the Holden Netball Test Series and
also determine who takes home the Constellation Cup in 2011.
A crowd of 6,500 saw the Diamonds come home strongly in a tightly
contested match where the lead was shared between the two teams for the
first three quarters and neither was able to gain an ascendency of more
than three goals.
The Diamonds moved up a gear in the final quarter, and were never headed
after gaining the lead within the first few minutes of the last term.
Cath Cox was named Player of the Match.
