Netball fans expecting a close and physical contest were not disappointed today when the Australian Diamonds and New Zealand’s Silver Ferns met for the first time this year at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
The skill and athleticism of both teams were on display, the Diamonds fighting back from a one-goal deficit at three-quarter time to take the match by five goals.
Player of the match was defender Mo’onia Gerrard, the second time she has won the award during the Holden Netball Test Series.
