NSW Swifts captain Catherine Cox is expected to play for the NSW Swifts in the sudden death Preliminary Final at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Sunday 4 July.
After suffering a fractured nose in the major Semi-Final after a head clash with Thunderbirds defender Geva Mentor, Cox will see a specialist on Wednesday as a precaution but is expected to be given the all clear.
It is the boost NSW Swifts fans wanted given their team’s shaky performance against a rampaging Thunderbirds outfit at Acer Arena yesterday.
With a home Grand Final on the line, the previously unbeaten Swifts were out-muscled across the court and will now face the winner of tonight’s sudden death semi final between the WBOP Magic and the Ascot Park Hotel Southern Steel (LIVE on ONE from 5pm tonight).

With over 4000 young netballers and their families converging on the Hunter this weekend for the Netball NSW State Age Championships at Newcastle, Maitland, Charlestown and Lakeside, tickets to the game are expected to sell fast!
