The 26-year-old prop was not in the points last weekend as the Red Rose wrapped up a 13-9 victory against defending champions Ireland, with fellow forwards Abbie Scott and Emma Croker both rumbling over the whitewash.
But her performance in particular caught the eye and she is determined to help England continue their winning Six Nations run, which sees them atop the standings with three wins from three so far.
And with a Grand Slam now on the cards for the first time since 2012, Cornborough is urging her teammates not to get complacent.
"A week ago I would have said getting my first cap for England against Wales in the Six Nations was my finest moment," she told the RFU website.
"However, getting player-of-the-match against Ireland at Twickenham, I was absolutely gobsmacked, I couldn't believe it. When I was told, I replied 'I think you've got the wrong person'.
"I like to think I offer something slightly different as a prop. I can run and pass too, the only thing I can't do is kick.
"The way I approach it is game on game. I'm not even thinking about a Grand Slam until we get to the last game.
"For us to avoid complacency we need to keep on improving each week and then we can secure that win.
"If the Grand Slam happens, it happens, but it will be down to our performance."
