The UK's 1st and only competition to showcase a woman's athletic ability as
well as her grace and physique will now take place at The National
Exhibition Centre in Birmingham over the weekend of the 12th and 13th of May
2012
A totally new precedent will be set and show that FIT is FUN and all women
of all ages can join in and celebrate being fabulous and fit and healthy.
Celebrating the fact of being comfortable in their own skin whilst setting
an example for ALL women to follow.
The show has age categories, unlike any other show and will also have a
unique scoring system which gives fairness throughout. If you have a
competitive spirit, then we will bring you the ultimate in fitness challenges and stage shows. If you want to gain confidence and reach new goals, then come and join the girls at one of their camps.
The founder Sarah Donohue wants women to be seen as healthy and active,
celebrating beauty and femininity, giving the girls a field to compete based
on physical attributes, abilities and mental and physical strength.
Galaxy Universe is an arena where girls have an opportunity to showcase
their fit physique and athletic ability. This is not Miss World, nor an
athletics competition, beauty Pageant or swimwear competition. But if you
combine just a little bit of everything together, then you would be getting
close to what the all new Galaxy Show is. It's about finding the 'Modern
woman' who represents, health, beauty, strength and individuality, a woman
who can encourage others into a healthy lifestyle. It has taken Sarah over 8
months to fully develop with amazing fitness tests and fair scoring system
based on skills, difficulty and age..
It is important that would be competitors know that not everything is
mandatory. It is your choice and you choose what you want to do. You do not
have to do the fitness tests, nor do you have to do the swimwear rounds, you
could just simply do eveningwear to get your confidence up. We have
something for everyone.
'This is the all new Galaxy. I have taken elements of the many different
fitness shows I have competed in across the United States and with an
understanding of what is needed for the UK market and also having spoken to
many competitors about their needs, developed a totally new show, the first
of its kind. Combining functionality, beauty & elegance. A platform to be
the best you can be, a place where time stands still. I wanted to give
something new, something where women can celebrate themselves and the goals
they want to achieve, and a place for women to gain confidence and have fun.
I think I have achieved this!' We even have Jodie Marsh as one of our
judges, Mr Motivator is on the cards to do a workout with the girls and Dr
Marylin Glenville, nutrition expert will be running a seminar on the Sunday.
It will be an amazing weekend.
