BEIJING (WCBA/WNBA) - Great Britain’s women will be taking on the Atlanta Dream on May 29 in Manchester, England, but another national team will be getting a taste of the WNBA before the Brits.
China, who will later this year attempt to qualify for the London 2012 Olympics, will go on a tour of the United States and square off against the Connecticut Sun (May 19), Washington Mystics (May 21), Chicago Sky (May 23) and New York Liberty (May 27).
All four games will be played on the home floors of the WNBA sides.
China will also stay in New York after the game against the Liberty to take part in a friendly tournament that also includes the Liberty and the Sun.
The WNBA Live - Manchester 2011 clash against the Dream will be a tune-up for Britain ahead of EuroBasket 2011, which is serving as a warm-up tournament for Tom Maher’s team ahead of next year’s London Games.
China, meanwhile, will play in the FIBA Asia Championships
