RESULTS: Women's Subway Goshen Squash Open, Goshen, Indiana, USA
Final: [1] Rebecca Chiu (HKG) bt [3] Samantha Teran (MEX) 3-9, 9-3, 9-1, 9-5 (72m)
Top seed Rebecca Chiu claimed her anticipated title in the Women's Subway Goshen Squash Open - but the Hong Kong favourite was made to work for longer than she had in the total of all her earlier matches before getting the better of third-seeded Mexican Samantha Teran in the final in Goshen, in the US state of Indiana.
Teran was determined to put in a more powerful performance than in the pair's earlier meeting in the month, when Chiu romped to a straight games win in the Texas Open in Dallas.
And the 26-year-old from Mexico City took the opening game for the loss of just three points.
But world No15 Chiu fought back to take the WISPA World Tour title 3-9, 9-3, 9-1, 9-5 in 72 minutes.
The triumph marked the 10th WISPA Tour title of the 28-year-old's career - but the first outside Chiu's home continent of Asia!
