Chinese reinforce season’s supremacy in Madrid

Lausanne (SUI), June 11, 2007 – The fifth meet of the 2007 FINA Diving Grand Prix, held in Madrid (ESP) from June 8-10 was dominated by the Chinese athletes, who conquered seven out of the eight gold medals at stake.

In the women’s competition, the Chinese supremacy was even more notorious, with the gold and silver in the individual events and the victory in both the synchro competitions. Divers from Canada, Ukraine, USA and Italy were also on the podium in the Spanish capital.

The sixth meet of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2007 (which has seven events) will take place in Rome (ITA), from June 15-17.
