The team's dominance continued into the second quarter, scoring 10 goals, with the Turks only able to respond with one goal.

At the halfway point Britain had an insurmountable 16-1 lead, but the team continued to perform with a strong desire to win, taking the third quarter 8-0 and the final quarter 3-2 for a 27-3 win.

The squad of 13 is currently reaping the benefits of a new training regime with Hungarian Szilveszter Fekete. The new women's Head Coach has been working with the squad to help the sport move forward ahead of the London 2012 Olympics.

The tournament provides the squad with an opportunity to play together after what has been an intense period of training that kicked off with Fekete's arrival earlier this year.

Britain take on pre-tournament favourites France this evening (Wednesday), take on their final Group B opponents Slovakia on Thursday.

Britain's men will contest for honours on home soil at the LEN European Nations Trophy, Manchester when 12 squads from across the continent battle it out for the honours at the eight-day event from 8th-15th July.

Tickets are on sale and cost as little as £5 per day.

The LEN Women's European B Water Polo Championships take place in Prague, Czech Republic, from 17 to 24 June. The British squad comprises:
