Britain's Tina cook wins Olympic Bronze

Tina went into the final round in joint sixth position, but it was still all to play for with less than a fence between her and the leaders. Her young horse Miners Frolic (Henry), who she has ridden since a four year old, jumped an immaculate clear round to really put the pressure on those above her. Only two more riders were able to emulate Tina’s copybook round, leaving her in third place.

A very emotional Tina said: “He was super and really deserved a medal; he felt fantastic!

Speaking about jumping off in the Individual round, Tina said: “When it gets to that stage it’s all about mind over matter. Henry’s an amazing horse and has been fantastic in all three phases – a superstar!”

Tina thanked all the staff behind the scenes who contributed to her success, including Team Manager Yogi Breisner, Jumping Coach Kenneth Clawson and Dressage Coach Tracie

Robinson.

Miners Frolic is owned by Mr and Mrs Nicolas Embiricos and Mrs Sarah Pelham.

The Gold Medal went to Germany’s Hinrich Romeike and the Silver to America’s Gina Miles.
