(BEIJING, August 15) -- Brazil scored a goal in each half to end Norway’s Olympic campaign in the first quarterfinal of the Olympic Women’s Football tournament.
Daniela’s long-range bomb in the 44rd minute scored Brazil’s first goal and Marta doubled the lead in the 57th minute. Norway converted a penalty into a consolation goal in the 83st minute.
The other quarterfinal between the United States and Canada was halted due to the heavy rain that has struck Shanghai.
