Bowls World Cup: Warilla B.C, NSW

In the women's event, St Johns Park's Katrina Wright is hoping to become just the second Australian to claim the crown, but pre-tournament favouritism will be bestowed on two-time
defending champion Jo Edwards.

The world number one will start as a slight favourite ahead of New Zealand teammate Val Smith, the world number two, with Wright among a handful of leading contenders on the next line.

Victoria's Sam Shannahan will also be present at Warilla to defend her Junior World Cup crown.

Staged from April 12 to 20 at the Warilla Bowling Club, the World Cup and Junior World Cup will feature competitors from 26 nations across the globe vying for lawn bowls glory.
