In the women's final, New Zealand's Jo Edwards secured her third straight World Cup crown after winning a thrilling final against Guernsey's Alison Merrien.
Having disposed of Australia's Karen Murphy for the past two years, the world number one conjured the same result against Merrien, the 2008 champion, thanks to a 9-4, 7-7 victory.
