San Juan de Los Morros, Venezuela (April 6, 2008)—The United States Cycling Team captures American Mountain Bike title last weekend at the annual Continental Championships in Venezuela.
Mary McConneloug (Chilmark, Mass.) rode to a victory in the elite women’s contest.
McConneloug clocked a winning time of 1 hour, 52 minutes and 28 seconds to best silver medalist Jacquiline Mourau (BRA) by 42 seconds. Mexico’s Laura Morfin claimed the bronze medal , 7:32 off McConneloug’s pace.
