Liverpool Ladies 0-4 Birmingham City Ladies
Birmingham recorded their second 4-0 win of the season thanks to a Rachel Williams hat trick - the first ever in the FA WSL.
Dunia Susi grabbed her first goal of the season after 21 minutes as her shot was deflected over Andrea Worrall by Sam Chappell, and then it was the Williams show.
The striker's first and third goals both came from the penalty spot; first when Emily Westwood was fouled seven minutes from the interval and then after five minutes of added time to add insult to injury for the Liverpool.
Her second goal of the game came in between those spot kicks, on 53 minutes, when she ran onto a Westwood through ball and then firing past Worrall.
Williams was delighted with her treble but, after netting two the previous week against Bristol, felt she should have scored a hat trick in that game as well.
"I'm over the moon," she told birminghamcityladiesfc.co.uk. "I should have scored a hat-trick in last week's win at Bristol but to be the first player to do it is wicked.
"Everything is going really well at the moment. We had a long pre-season but we've hit the ground running.
"All the players and staff have worked really hard and hopefully we can stay at the top all season. I've never been at the top of the league before so it's amazing."
Liverpool skipper Vicky Jones was disappointed with her side's second loss in four days, saying: "We just didn't perform. We have the players to do it but we just aren't performing and that's it.
"Hopefully the players will get themselves together and pick their heads up because we can't afford to be losing anymore more points in the league."
Everton Ladies 1-1 Doncaster Rovers Belles
Natasha Dowie rescued Everton yet again as her equalised cancelled out Precious Hamilton's early opener for Doncaster but the striker has been disappointed with their start to the season.
Donny took a surprise early lead in the game after just five minutes through a Hamilton 18-yard shot, despite home appeals for handball.
Everton then dominated but only had one goal to show for it, which came on the hour mark through Dowie, who needed three attempts before she could slam home from a tight angle.
Helen Alderson had kept her side in the game, saving shots from Dowie, Jody Handley and Toni Duggan and Fer Whelen headed over in the first half while Swedish international Maria Karlsson cleared a Gwennan Harries effort off the line in the second.
Dowie rued the Toffees poor first half, telling evertontv: "By our standards, the first half wasn't good enough but the second half was much better and hopefully we can take that into our next game.
"I'm sure our first win of the season will come sooner rather than later. On a personal note I'm quite disappointed. I felt like I could have got two or three goals today."
Meanwhile, player of the match Becky Easton was similarly unhappy with seeing her side come away with just two points from two games.
"We need to stop conceding silly goals really as that's what killing us. It's five games now where we haven't won, and it's disappointing. We're still looking for our first victory in the WSL to really kick-off the league for us," she said.
By contrast to Everton, John Buckley was pleased with a point and hailed goalscorer Hamilton as the Belles' answer to Didier Drogba, saying: "She hasn't got a clue how good she can be.
"We call her Drogba; we call her Kenwyne Jones; she will be a top player if she believes in herself. Their two centre backs are good players but she never gave them a moments rest."
