All the big names made it through to Saturday’s final at today’s Junior World Championships Women’s Qualification.
The most impressive performers was the British pair of Katie French & Lydia Rosling, together with European Championships silver medallist Adrienn Toth (HUN) and Pan American Games Champion Margaux Isaksen (USA).
Other event favourites, defending Junior World Champion Sarolta Kovacs (HUN) and World Cup #4 bronze medallist Annika Schleu (GER) both qualified in regular ease to ensure their tilt for gold on the weekend.
Youth Olympic Games Champion Leidis Laura Moya (CUB) marked her return back to the international stage with a solid performance finishing 8th and will have visions of repeating her historic performance at Singapore. YOG mixed relay gold medalist Anastasiya Spas also had a good day to finish 6th.
Local favourite Ayelen Zapata (ARG) thrilled the local crowd to sprinting herself into 16th position which ensures a dream final for her in front of her family and friends on Saturday.
