TRACEY HALLAM won her second match in consecutive days to reach the last 16 of the women's singles on day two of the Olympic Games badminton tournament in Beijing.
The 33-year-old Commonwealth champion from Burton-on-Trent followed up her two-game win over Hong Kong's Yip Pui Yin yesterday by beating Czech No. 1 Kristina Ludikova 21-18 21-13 today.
Now the Team GB star must overcome seventh seed and double European champion Xu Huaiwen, the Chinese-born German No.1 if she is to match her Athens 2004 feat of reaching the quarter-finals.
