Australia is through to the final of the 2013 World Youth Netball Championships in Glasgow after a comprehensive 67-33 victory over England in the first semi-final.

The reigning champions flexed their might from the start, scoring nine unanswered goals in the opening quarter to put England on the back foot and lead 17-5 at quarter-time.

The Australians put the result beyond doubt shortly after half-time, extending their advantage to 26 goals at three-quarter time courtesy of near flawless shooting from Kristina Brice and Cody Lange, who shot at 95 per cent for the quarter.

With one foot in the final, the Australians added another 19 goals in the final quarter despite a change at the attacking end with Lange making way for Gretel Tippett at goal attack while restricting England to just 11 goals at the other end of the court.

Australian coach Carol Byers said the score line didn’t reflect the match but was delighted with the performance.

"It was never really an easy tussle, we had to work really hard," Byers said.

"The girls did it beautifully."

The Australians will have a day to recover and prepare for their sixth underage world championship final in seven tournaments since the competition’s inception in 1988.

"We've got 12 very strong players, so we'll be looking tonight to see who we'll be playing and then picking our players to match up accordingly," Byers said of selecting her starting seven for the final.

Australia will take on New Zealand in the final of the 2013 World Youth Netball Championship on Saturday (Sunday 1.45am AEST) at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.
