MUNICH (EuroLeague Women) – Australia international Lauren Jackson scooped her third WNBA MVP Award early this season while leading the Seattle Storm to the title.
She is now hitting the highs in Europe with Sparta&K M.R. Vidnoje.
This week, Jackson poured in 28 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead Sparta&K to an 85-52 triumph over VICI Aistes – the Lithuanian side that upset the Russian giants in the opening game of the campaign.
Jackson has been named Player of the Week because of her efficiency rating of 40, beating out a couple of USA internationals who had awesome performances.
Nadezhda’s Tina Charles had a rating of 35 after pouring in 27 points and hauling in 18 rebounds in an 87-82 upset of Ros Casares in Valencia, and MKB Euroleasing Sopron’s Angel McCoughtry had a rating of 33 following her 32-point scoring explosion in an 88-76 triumph over Lotos Gdynia.
