ATHLETICS AUSTRALIA TO CONNECT FANS WITH HEROES




The concept, provided by the unique Australian company My Heroes,
allows branded products to be purchased online featuring an athletics
hero image and inspirational message for personalised presentation to a
child.

The exclusive range of My Heroes products includes A3 and A4 prints, life
sized growth charts, birthday cards and special occasion cards.
Commonwealth Games gold medallist and Olympian Bronwyn Thompson,
Australia’s premier female long jumper, is thrilled with her involvement in
the range.

“This is a terrific opportunity for us to promote the spirit and achievements
2 of our athletes as well as strengthen an important connection to our
supporters, wherever they may be in the world,” she said.

“Given athletics is year-round and so many of us spend a good part of the
calendar competing overseas, it provides us with another link with our
supporters while allowing us to commend and encourage participation
and achievements at the junior level.

“With next month’s World Championships and the Olympic Games in
Beijing next year, the timing of this opportunity is perfect.”

Joining Thompson in the program are other members of the World
Championships squad including Jana Rawlinson, John Steffensen, Scott
Martin, Tamsyn Lewis and Dani Samuels plus representatives across each
of the athletics disciplines.
